The Pleasant Grove Lions Club once again had the privilege of doing vision screening for kids. This time it was at Lakeview Academy in Saratoga Springs Milt, James, Cathy, Darlene and Jo all helped in the screening process. James and Cathy from the Nephi Lions Club joined with us in this effort.

We use a hand held camera that checks kid’s eyes for 9
different conditions. Either they pass
or are referred to see a health care practitioner. This really helps in the screening for
children’s vision as the eye chart only checks for acuity. This is a wonderful volunteer service that
Lions Clubs can perform in their communities.
Charter schools, pre-schools and health fairs is a great way we have of
checking children’s eyes for programs thus parents can help resolve the eye
issues early before it is too late.
