March 21, 2013 Lions Club installed 3 new members

Beverly Thomas - 1st V. P. Dist. 28T

Our club install three fine new members into our club.  It is always a pleasure to see people willing to serve and give back to the community.  Terra Gaylord sponsored Stephanie and Cody and Craig sponsored his sister Lorraine.  It was a special time for all who were present.

Beverly Thomas District 28T Governor Elect performed the installation.

Beverly will be the District Governor when District 28T will held it's Fall Convention in the Pleasant Grove area this coming November 1st and 2nd.

The talent and experience coming into the club from new members will make a big difference in what the club can do in the Northern Utah County area.

Pleasant Grove Lions Club Needs You!

All residents of Northern Utah County are welcome!

Do you want to be more involved in your Community?

Have you been searching for opportunities for service?

Then we need you for the Lions Club!

As a Lions club member, you’ll join a local group of service-minded men and women who are doing local volunteer work to support your community – right now. You’ll also become a member of Lions Clubs International, a respected international organization, a leader in your local community and a friend to people in need.

There are many reasons to become a member. As a Lion, you will:
  • Help your community and gain valuable skills
  • Make an impact on people's lives – locally and internationally
  • Learn to be a leader – and lead a respected organization
  • Network with business people in your community and around the world
  • Energize your life and have fun

You'll grow personally and professionally. And you'll know that the community volunteer work you perform is worthwhile and appreciated.

Pleasant Glove Lions Club has been serving our community for the past 75 years.  We have contributed with foreign exchange programs with local students, helped build community pavilions, Assisted with Leader dog programs and also collected eye wear to send to third world countries.

We are also trying to get our youth more involved with our community by beginning a  Leos club. The Leo clubs (ages 12-18) provide youth volunteer opportunities, leadership skills and also a place to grow and have fun. The Cub club (ages 6-11) is also starting and will prepare the very young for service experience and community involvement. For more direct information about the Leos/Cub Clubs please contact Terra Gaylord directly @ 435-668-7543 or terragaylord@gmail.com

Please join us on our regular meeting nights, the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 600 N. Center St P.G.!
