Summer BBG with Scholarship winners - August 21, 2014

Once again this year The Pleasant Grove Lions Club provided scholarships for local high school students to attend Boys State and Girls State leadership programs.  There was an additional two scholarships to students that attended the HOBY  (Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership) program.

The scholarship winners came to our summer barbecue and shared with us what they learned from the program they attended, how it has change their perspective on life and what they will do with what they've learned.

We are grateful as a Lions Club to provide such opportunities to well deserving high school students to attend these leadership programs.  They will be our future leaders.

Where there is a need there is a Lion. We encourage both young and old educated and not so educated to come and become members of the Lions Club where you can give back to your community and the world.  It is a privilege to do humanitarian service and help make the world a better place.

We are grateful for our heritage so let's play it forward for the next generation.
