The Pleasant Grove Lions Club supported a Camp Kesem 5K race fundraiser by supplying cases of bottled water for the runners. The 5k race was held on Friday, June 17 at the Lindon City Park. Funds generated from the race help in providing a tuition free camp for children whose parents have been diagnosed with cancer. The camp is sponsored by passionate college students who are dedicated to help children through and beyond their parents cancer. "Where there is a need, there is a Lion."
Pleasant Grove Lions Club will do FREE vision screenings for pre-school children.
The vision screening indicates if a child's vision is adequate or if follow-up care is
needed from an eye care specialist.
The Pleasant Grove Lions Club participated in the 2016 Strawberry Days' parade Saturday, June 18.
Two of our scholarship recipients Arielle and Lexi joined us in the parade. They held signs letting the public know about the free vision screening we do for pre-schoolers.
Our club participated in the Cedar Hills parade on June 4, 2016. Three of our scholarship recipients walked along the parade route hold posters about Lions Kids Sight program and Lions Club International celebrating 100 years in 1917. Where there is a need there is a Lion.
