During the month of December and February the Pleasant Grove
Lions Club and volunteers cleaned and readied glasses. We had a scout collect, clean, read for prescriptions
and packaged for an Eagle project. The
scout donated the 900 he did to the Pleasant Grove Lions Club. So, all in all the club sent 1,326 pair of
glasses to Senegal, Africa to help people have better vision than without
glasses.
We are always looking for donated glasses to help in such
wonderful causes as this. Helen Keller
has asked Lions to be “Knights of the Blind”. Also, we always welcome volunteers to help us in the various projects we do.
