We had a wonderful birthday dinner and Program Friday evening.  We as a club were honored to host our District 28T Fall District Convention.  Below are some of the photos taken at the convention.

Jubilee Days in Pleasant Grove September 14, 2013

Each year during the second weekend the Pleasant Grove Lions Club participates in Pleasant Grove’s annual festival now called Jubilee Days.  This is a way to let everyone about the lions club and what we do.  This our fund raiser to help in such efforts as providing glasses to those in need and leadership and educational scholarships to high school and college bound students.  The lions club built its own building located on 600 E. Center in Pleasant Grove and the pavilion in the park on Main Street and 2^nd South.  The lions club is celebrating its 75^th year.

As you see from the pictures below we are making scones.  This year we added jubilee sauce and whipped cream.  We received many compliments and are grateful to help make Jubilee Days a great event that folks will want to come again next year.  This was a fun time for all.  

Come join us and you can have serving others and feel joy it makes as you help change people's lives for the better.

Pleasant Grove Lions Club celebrating 75 years (1938-2013)

 

PLEASANT GROVE JUBILEE, SATURDAYA, SEPT. 14TN, 2013 11 AM - 4 PM

P. G. LIONS CLUB once again are making scones and this year we will even have Jubilee scones.  See picture below.  Come join us for a wonderful day in the Park.  The park is located at 200 E. 100 S., Pleasant Grove, Utah.  This fund raiser helps us provide glasses  and educational and leadership scholarships.

Steel Days Parade - July 20, 2013

Steel Day Parade in American Fork, Utah was the fourth parade this year that our Lions Club had the privildge of participating in.  This gives us an opportunity to let people know there is a lions club and what we do.

We have a good club and every little bit that someone gives helps a great deal.    The three pictures below are the different view of Lorraine's Car.   We had the little green eye collection boxes on top of the car that drew a lot of attention.      The lion puppet that roared and waved also drew a lot of attention.   We had one two-year old that ran right up to the car.   Her mother couldn't catch her soon enough.   Lorrie was able to yell baby coming, so Lorraine could stop.  The mother lifted the little toddler up so she could shake the lions hand.   The little one. wasn't about to let the lion's paw go.   We had a receptive crowd.   The announcers did a good job introducing us telling about our seventy-five years  of service and the things we do.
